BVNO BLAST VALVES
BVNO - Blast Valves, Normally Open Valves
Blast valves are protective valves which are normally open and allow movement of air for both directions (in and out of the protected space). Blast valves are usually installed on ventilation openings or on air ducts of the ventilation system for protecting the inner space of the shelter, room or a structure from blast pressure wave (both positive and negative phases).

Overview
-
Blast valves are used to stop implosive and explosive blast waves from penetrating the protected structure.
-
Normally open Blast valves are installed on the air intake, allowing high volume air flows, with minimal pressure drops for daily operation.
-
The valves are extremely durable and withstand heat and corrosion.
-
Normally open Blast valves can be equipped with a dust pre-filter for removing dust particles.
-
The valves are low in pressure drops and are maintenance free.
-
They are continuously and regularly tested by various International Standard Institutes.
